Motherhood and pregnancy is unbelievably beautiful. It's that the execution is usually dreadful. I went out and did research for inspiration on Flickr, 500px, AND Google Image search. I don't think I've ever looked into a topic with such a high rate of "misses" to me. I generally hate the poses. I hate the clinical editing. I hate the cliche-ness. There is something about maternity photography that pushes everyone into a box. So my goal was to do maternity photograph *I* wouldn't feel that way about. Was it groundbreaking? Nah.
